I had really forgotten just how good this album was. Officially Black Sabbath's last album with the original lineup, "Never Say Die" is a venture into Sabbath Jazz. Now of course your highbrow jazz fan will dismiss this as rock and roll fodder, however this is truly a step in a few different directions for the down tuned masters of reality. The result is fantastic for the listener. You get to hear and feel a different and lighter side of the band without missing the heavy grooves Sabbath is known for on their earlier works. Enjoy now what I call Sabbath conjuring the progressive realm. with Johnny Blade.
I think they also deserve credit for while glimpsing into the eighties, they keep their roots planted firmly in the seventies avoiding many of the eighties generic writing pitfalls. Do not overlook this album.
